The key to someone having a successful image hosting site on WJ, assuming they have some basic plugin, basically depends on how well you can spam your site name here and drill it into people's head. People tend to stick with one image host for a while after they've installed the addon and then become blind to the sites speed or uptime and instead worship and sing it's praises. This happened imagecenter that Elio owned about two years ago and now lulzimg too. It's far from the best but it's the most spammed on WJ so therefore the most successful.

LulzImg's success is not derived from it being spammed on WJ. Looking at the statistics that I have access to, and you don't, I'd say WJ forms a very very small percentage of the traffic Lulz gets on a daily.. no make it hourly, basis.

Having said that, there's tons of sites out there that experience slowdowns and problems once in a while - especially when they experience a sudden growth in usage/traffic; not having access to statistics would mean you're unable to point that out either - thus the miscalculated judgement.

Now, I've already mentioned once on this post about it being back up and running fine soon enough. I'll say that again, one more time. And I've put the same notice on the main site's upload page. Every hosted image (there's a total of 1.9 million) is loading fine. Now unless I'm an idiot, the only issue I see is disabled uploads, temporarily. Besides that, everything appears to be fine.
