TPB is one big publicity stunt, they deserve to go down and their site deserves to die off (which it will once this company takes over).

They said they would buy an island, they couldn't afford it but they still said it, purely for traffic. Even after that, they weren't the biggest (in traffic) torrent site. Then they starting acting like the trial didn't matter, until they got found guilty. Then they tried picking mistakes out and failed, now they want to sue the swedish government (which wont happen/pass). They need to stop failing at avoiding jail and go down.

Mininova for one is bigger than TPB and always has been. TPB has never passed mininova in traffic and never will.

TPB dying is no loss to this scene. I think you forget that scene groups dont want torrent sites hosting their crap in the first place. Warez could live on without the need for TPB easily.

90% of torrent sites will not die, in actual fact the opposite will happen. There will be a huge increase to fill the gap left behind by TPB.

It's one big fish in a huge ocean with many other big fish. It is not a loss.

I agree with JMZ on one thing... Mininova is bigger than TPB. but you are also forgetting Mininova is filtering their searches now.... thus its a bit tough to get pirated content recently. TBH, both mininova and TPB has already died this year.

I donot agree with what you said about scene groups not wanting torrent sites hosting their crap. Its total bullshit. If they didn't care why do they get so pissed off at reencoders and stealers, who use their releases? They care becuz these reencoders (ex. aXXo) are stealing their credit... and if Warez/Torrents donot spread their releases no1 would even know these scene groups. Also, I want to add another thing, most release groups originally spread their releases in usenet themselves... allow usenet leechers to spread their releases. That's how its been alwayz, so AGAIN its total bullshyt that release groups don't want their stuff on p2p.
