Disagree with all on the list. Most just do the PSD and then you've to go code them yourself or find another coder. This pole should be the best GFX artist as that's all they can do. None of them EVER come up with any new or original ideas in their work.

Designers are people like SplitIce, Yawn, elj, Hyperz, Jayfella etc. They come up with unique ideas, design, code and launch them.

This whole topic really insults designers. Nobody on that list could come with with something like WJTools, MirrorMaker, Sharpleech etc etc.

lol do you honestly think Google, Facebook, Youtube or Twitter would have being successful if all they did was make a PSD.


I propose that this topic be renamed from Designer to GFX Artist as it's an insult to real designers.

+ the "designers" in the poll are just photoshop beginners looking to make some pocket money.
 
@Mr Happy,

There's some like, Maz, Barake etc. Who actually do both. They don't just do the GFX, give you the PSD and then you have to find a coder. So you can't disagree with ALL. only most.

yeah few copy work and do the same style over and over and all designs pretty much look the same all the time.
 
Plz collect full information before creating this kind of thread. Where the hell are 1only, Olivia, blaze and many other experienced GFXer ?

Ps: and who told you SalmanAbbas is GFXer ? actually he is coder and Skords does gfx for him

Totally agree with you Mr Happy (& SJshah), but even renaming it "Artist" is a bit strong & would only end up with 3 or 4 nominees. Most, on here just seem to type something, throw a shit load of effects at the text & paste icons (&/or an AAA logo output) around it & call it a banner.

How about "Best GFX Cobbler"?
 
Happy you're getting more so into the coding/dev, this thread is aimed at people who do graphics. I agree with what you said but the original poster is referring to something else.
