If you're going to talk about loss of money, why the heck are you in a warez webmaster community?

And no, am not bitching about them having closed our account. We don't even care about that, tbh. My point, was their way of having handled the entire situation. For an entity their size, it was completely unprofessional.

And please, to everyone else, stop talking about how HF loses money because of us, or any of that BS. As warez webmasters, at least take the time to realize that you contribute just as much (and maybe more) as us to the same cause - loss for publishers/companies. Hotfile is just another one of them.

I seriously don't understand how you can state that, and not realize what you're typing :O

You clearly don't understand how we function. Nor do you realize the fact that if you call this sharing, then downloading files off their server (with a premium account) and sharing them on YOUR server with your friends or whoever else, is also considered account sharing.
Which, of course, is not.

Sharing accounts = sharing account access details.

If you consider anything less than that to be account sharing too, you're the idiot here.
No sharing the details is not the only way to share your account. You input the user/pass into your database and they login with it. I ran a premium link generator. I know how it works

PS: They can talk about loss of money. You need to travel back to the late 90's early 2000's when warez was not money. Everyone is greedy now. Look at paid (lol) uploaders and people working for pennies now

You are wrong.
Hotfile, Rapidshare, Megauploead etc are the bridge between us, the warez people and the downloaders.. So no, its not another cooperation that looses money, it our provider.. Yes, there are others to.. But imagine nobody of them taking action in abuses.. they would close down slowly..

Its not like you are paying 200$ to get it.. is a damn $9 per month..

If you're going to claim you know how we work or how we do it, just because you 'ran a premium link generator once', then you're clearly mistaken. Nuff said. I never created this thread for the purpose of indefinitely arguing with everyone who thought otherwise.

That said, uploaders sure are greedy. But giant corporations (and I do mean giant when I refer to HF, RS, MU, etc) make 10x more money in one day, then they lose in one month. So to them, it makes no difference. What matters to them (and thus their 'apparent' actions against us) is their status, esteem, and their image as the best. If I did not know better, I would say that is what prompted them to go to such lengths against us.

Again, like I said, we have no intention of dropping support for hotfile on our link generator. Entities like them that are scam (literally! And they're also one of the reason why the spirit of sharing is being replaced by the spirit of money.. lol) and force users to go through pains to download files; we'll always be the 'bridge' between them, their greedy policies, and the free users.

We don't make any money out of our public project. So if someone claims we're greedy, they're clearly mistaken.

EDIT:
@warezmaniac
I won't even start arguing with you, now. I seriously won't. You can assume and think what you want. I honestly could not have cared less.

If you're going to say I'm wrong about your link generator, I'm calling bullshit lol

You have to supply your user/pass somewhere so they can login using your details to access the file when they put the link in

I am against all this premium link generators because
the same will happen to HF like it happened to RD because of people
like you!
They will start limiting how much each account can download in a day i.e. 5GB...

^^ true but its only one person/ip that uses the account.

Really that isnt the argument, its the fact they do have a limit on the amount you can download :(

i doubt they would have limited you if you werent abusing it .. you say only 1 IP was on at any given time, but that was through a Generator script,i dont know how many users you have using the service at 1 time, but if 200gigs were downloaded in 24hr period i would guess a few,i read thru the blog post, and also read some replys, there were several people using it... i think if you want ot get away with it get a few accounts instead of only one.. so the single one doesnt get hammered on their servers

who cares how many ips it is? Its still multiple people using the same account through a script that the linked to his link generator

You seriously are missing the point of the entire topic. The problem here is not what you're so bent on, fool!

True. That is 'part' of our new plan.

No I got it. I'm 'bent' on you lying and saying your account is not shared even-though you say it is being used by more downloaders then yourself. Get a clue

Here's the thing. I download a file from hotfile. Now I decide to upload that file and put it on my server for others to download directly. That breaks the rules? I am the only one using the account, Im just sharing what I downloaded. TBH it is a dumb loophole, but 100% legit.
