you can't host malware, botnets and CP without law enforcement getting involved

DMCA is somewhat a different story, there still are lots of NL server providers that ignore DMCA
we for example are offering anonymous DMCA ignored site proxying and dedicated servers (the dedicated servers are from Novogara) - https://dmcaless.st/

1st !

DMCA is a United States law passed in 1998. It does NOT apply anywhere outside of the USA and the fact that any host, not located within America, follows it --- says a lot about how stupid the people are who operate that business

2nd !
I'm not excusing malware or botnets and I believe people who make CP should have their genitals mutilated. But when someone from the US state department can send an email to someone in another nation and have their host taken down.

That's something everyone should take notice of.

You can distribute ** FAKE ** rape videos in Japan but the United States they can get you into serious trouble. It would scare the hell out of me if one email from the FBI ended up getting someone arrested in Japan for doing somethin that's legal there.

There is no such thing as bulletproof hosting, and there never will be. Novogara, Ecatel and that FiberXpress/Dataone garbage are the reason new regulations keep emerging and new laws keep getting enforced. Bulletproof hosters are the reason everything has become stricter and more regulated in the first place.

You can’t just ignore and tolerate everything and think nothing will ever happen, can you?

To this day, Ecatel is a mystery to me. They keep popping up out of nowhere like a hydra. I remember a documentary, I think it was by Norton, where they tried to interview the operators back then. I can’t find it on YouTube anymore. In any case, I would never trust that kind of bunch of criminals with my data. Never!

At most I’d use them as a proxy, nothing more, and that’s it. Even that is too much.

You never know what criminals like these, who advertise themselves as “DMCA-ignored”, are up to. Even some of the stream hosters and file hosters around here that advertise being DMCA-ignored can only keep it up to a certain point. After that, it’s the end of the line for them too. Either their domains get taken down, their payment gateways get killed, or their IPs simply get blacklisted.

As a website operator or a data center colocation reseller, you can’t keep ignoring everything and think nothing will happen. You are not above the law. We saw always what happenend to those "bulletproof" hosters, all of them has been taken offline and none of them survived.
