New hosts have a hard time competing with the ones that have been around for years and are stable, like voe, dood, lulustream, and even vidmoly, which are still working and paying. Streamup had a chance to break through and join the most popular video hosts, but they can’t keep their service running. The first admin quit, the second one too, or already has another project, and I’m starting to doubt they will even pay in March. New hosts with a weak earning system or broken view counting will also fall quickly, just like bigshare — it’s only a matter of time. There are no good new hosts and there won’t be. It’s better to use the ones that have been around for years and are doing fine.
I don't agree here let me clarify some important things here.
Openload Duckload Bitshare GoUnlimited Verystream ... the list is pretty long
Where are they ? did any of them survive?
Streamup had a chance to break through and join the most popular video hosts
No , Streamup never had a single chance at all, it's has been over paying since long time
PS: over-paying means paying more then generating which leads easily to Bankruptcy
New hosts with a weak earning system or broken view counting will also fall quickly, just like bigshare — it’s only a matter of time.
Same for old hosts as well, nothing last for ever, it's just a matter of time here as well otherwise the biggest hosting services like Megaupload, Rapidshare , Putlocker ond so on will still exists until today.
There are no good new hosts and there won’t be
All of the biggest hosts we see today started as new hosts as well and found acceptance by users
It’s better to use the ones that have been around for years and are doing fine
Vidguard has been arround for years, and dead just less then 2 months ago
It's like saying users should buy stuff from
Ebay/
Amazon/
ALibaba and stop buying from small local stores, what will happend then? You are killing the small stores
This is life, not every business will survive how many Saas businesses failed, how many
Barber Shops , Cleaning Services, Coffee Shops didn't survive ?
The reasons are different like, low income, high rent costs , low users/clients
This happens also to Video Hosting Services as well, they have rent to pay ( servers ) , they have affiliates to pay , they have stuff to pay
If users follows you recommendation and only using older hosts you are automatically killing every new business no matter if it was going to have a good future or not.
The Tragic reality that only few understands (Always same story repeats)
- Most older hosts exists because they are paying cents for affiliates and no one complains ...
1 New host appears users are looking for high earnings
2 The host during the startup is paying high without revenue to gain users
3 The host is out of money decrease the affiliate / start shaving
4 Users leave
5 Host is bankrupt and has lot of servers to pay
6 Host is dead
Now repeat this 5 times and you will understand what I mean and why every new host fails.
The Year 2025/2026:
- CPM from Ad-Networks is crap, dont expect miracles from any host
- Never look for a host that is paying extremly high because the end is well known
- Accept the reality
Final Opinion:
- All New hosting services deserve a chance to grow dont kill them
- All older hosting services are big thanks to loyal users, if users leaved them like they do today the hosts wouldn't exist anymore
- Only users can create big hosts or destroy any host , a host without users will share the inevitable fate of death.
Speaking for Streamup and every fallen host with heart and soul RIP:
No one closes a profitable business no matter the pressure. Example Dood: legal problems, court, endless paperwork, even prison risk yet they stayed online. Why? Because it was profitable. If there was no income, no future why would anyone fight that hard?
Closing a business is not just turning off a server. It's accepting that all the time, energy, money, and belief you poured into something didnt survive. Its letting go of a project that once gave you hope and motivation for both owners and users. Its admitting that the fight became heavier than the reward.
Behind every fallen host was a real person or a small team who sacrificed sleep, health, relationships, and stability trying to make it work. in my optionion that deserves respect
