in the statistics I have two downloads of the file, even though I have disabled downloads, how is this possible?

We don't count downloads you need to disable download at your account.

You can upload MP4 files and enable option not encoding at your account.

MKV will not playing, you need to encoding to MP4

Only mp4 can play without encoding.

And do you recommend encoding files?
If I disable it, there should not be any problem right?

Yes, system encoding all files including MP4 files, you need to disable encoding from account setting if all your files MP4 and you don't need to encoding.

I recommend encoding because not all MP4 file have correct metadata, so when encoding from our system will force it work if file have any issue.
