how many times windows xp home

hi guys

i just downloaded windows xp home to reformat my pc and i still have the genuine licence key on side of my computer from when i bought it.....

i also wanna install it on my mums computer...do u think i cud get away with using the same licence key on both computers without it getting blocked......i only ask as lots of people seem to use same key as eachother when downloading off of warez sites

yes you can.

Firstly, its not actually allowed, its a single-PC license, but you can do it.

Secondly, the serial numbers you see on forums, etc are not single-license keys.

Thirdly, i think you can only activate a key like 20 times over the internet. After that, you need to phone them up n all that story.

I have gave my Copy of WinXP to more than 20 people and no one has had any problems..

(Its a bit modified, doesn't need activation)

Get some MSDN keys doggy
You cannot be using the same single license key on two computers and update them.
The keys you see on other forums are volume licenses that can be used on an infinite amount of computers but most of the public keys are blacklisted anyways.
