We can restore the original copy, but it will end up being encoded and face the same problem. The reason why I said “a different copy” instead of asking you to upload the same video is that this video metadata isn’t accepting any transcoding process. It’s encoding error and not a damaged file.

I dont think this file has been encoded.

doensnt the O mean original? im pretty sure it is the original file and has not been encoded in gou.

aside from that. if it is a encoding problem, could u restore the original from the back up and just not reencode it? the file used to play fine on GOU until just recently.

It won’t turn to N, ever. As long as the encoding ended up with an error, it will remain: O.
