It's a general conception I have heard from many people, that online jobs are not real jobs. Most of them refer to offline as the real world. But I know a lot of people that work full time online, and have made more money online than offline.

Amazon makes millions of dollars in minutes online, facebook does the same, twitter does the same, youtube does probably even more, swagbucks, does the same, and thousands of others including those who are totally online.

There are some people who work on upwork and make up to 10,000$ monthly. But you say you can't find anything worth your time online? Think about it again.
