Whitehat Default Are Link Exchanges Still Considered a Good Thing?

Hi all

I've been offered an opportunity to exchange links with a travel blog site (so highly related to what I do) and they have a much better following than me on social media at least, (like 70k+!), but are link exchanges still considered a good thing?

I'm severely lacking in SEO skills and need to learn a lot!

It probably won't hurt your website if he adds your link in a widget or in an article, however, you should check that website's DA, TF, CF and if they are higher than your website's then it's good for your website. Also use some online tool to check how many do-follow external links that website has. If it has a lot (100+) then it won't help you much having a link from his website. By the way, make sure that the CF of that website isn't much bigger than it's TF (2 or 3 times bigger or more) because that's not a good sign.
