what kind of hosting and software do i need

hello,

my goals
1-make a service that allows users to surf the internet with another ip address
2-service has some kind of authentication for each user and two users can use the same authentication data
3-each user has limit amount of traffic
4-i don't care to give each user a dedicated ip

my questions
1-shall i use make vpn or proxy service or i can achieve my goals using something else ?
2-what kind of hosting and software do i need ?

You could actually easily accomplish this, with a Squid Proxy. Depending on exactly how you wanted it to function, would depend on what sort of front-end you would need to be able to offer it as a service, and possibly automated the addition of users to the proxy, but, I think it could be done fairly easily with a VPS, a Squid proxy installation, and some specific settings which could be scripted based off a front-end purchasing system.

Don't sell a proxy option it anyway, since users who understand, will not use..no protection is given this way, unless you don't care and all you want is money.
I use a paid vpn service and don't have troubles working with this soulion.
