hi, i was wondering if this is suitable for a web designer looking to resell and manage clients websites? and the business is mostly UK based(this is only for page loading time of course). just for the record i ask same question to 2 others.

and can we migrate stuff from previous to this new easily?

@zicronik yes you can switch between linux and windows anytime you want
@mrnice sure, it is suitable. you can do that on a vps from us. you can buy a vps with cpanel. i think you are familiarized with it. migrating is very easy. we can also do that for you, for free.
 
server not ready yet

I have ordered a server over 30 mins ago but it is not yet ready. the mail said it will be ready within 10-15 mins.
I have launched a ticket regarding this
Will update it when it is ready.

Update 1: more than 15 mins of launching ticket, no reply received yet.
Update 2: First reply came after 12 hours. Tells me windows 2003 doesn't come with automated install and I need to do it on my own or request them to do it for me. But this is not what the welcome mail said otherwise I would installed it by now.
Update 3: Now after almost 20 hours , server is setup and running. The ticket reply speed is a bit slow but at this price I wont mind that. Now I just need to test out how solid the server is. Will update soon

I was bought your FDC 1 server.
The connection is weird, tonight i was upload on 50mo/s
but now is just 15Mo/s

The bandwitch have a problem ?

I try this and i edit if 5gbps is a roxxor :D


EDIT : The CPU is lower, on your website for the offer FDC1 you write this :
"4 x Intel Xeon CPU"
but when I'm trying to split a file of 7GB, it takes more than 10 minutes whereas with the CPU according to another provider: Xeon E3 1230 with 4 cores as it takes me two minutes.

So why ?

Either they are shared or Maybe cause of slow I/O

First of all thank you all for your new orders and for your interest in using our services. Please consider that in weekends we offer limited support for non-urgent problems. All our VPS packages are self-managed. This means each client can install/reinstall operating system, reboot/boot/shutdown VPS from SolusVM control panel and doesn't need our intervention. Even so, we do this for our clients on request (also we can help for free with software installation etc.), but on weekends we don't guarantee very fast response on actions like this. We still respond very fast on real problems even on weekends. About OS. Windows 2003 is available only with ISO manual installation. It can be installed by our clients from SolusVM via VNC (mount Windows 2003 image, reboot, install via VNC). All Linux distros and rest of Windows OS (XP, 7 and 2008 R2) are ready-to-use and usable after 1-2 minutes from payment.

Q1: our offers changed. our current offers are the offers from our website. also this topic is updated. currently we offer 1Gbps port with no contractual guarantees. in practice users are able to get most time full 1Gbps and at least 60-70MB/s (500-600mbps). we use 10Gbps nodes with no more than 10 VPS per physical node, so theoretically each user should be able to get 1Gbps.
Q2: We use for FDC models on physical nodes Intel Quad-Core Xeon L5520, for Storage and SSD VPS we use Intel Quad-Core Xeon E3-1270 and for DDoS protected VPS we use Intel Core i7-3770.
Q3: We don't offer Windows license in price of the VPS. User has to install his own Windows license, or we can provide license for additional fee.

16 minutes for cut a 7GB files

I have the FDC1 server for 29$
So for the price is a good services, the support is here !!

I want test different offert but i can't for the moment.

I am extremely satisfied with this VPS that 5gps allowed me to test for free.

Download and upload speed are both remarkable and the virtual server seems very reliable.

The support representatives and/or administrators are also extremely professional in their work and assistance, even during the weekend.
