Start by producing great contents. Then, make use of your influence on social media sites to spread the good things about your contents online. For instance, you can share your contents to your friends through your facebook profile. This should get you the initial traffic. And depending on how great your contents are; they could be shared voluntarily by your friends over and over leading to your site gaining more traffic.
 
From my point of view add content regularly in your blog and if possible do guest posting in different blogs for which you will get back links so also a number of good traffic. SMO is the best way to show your blog site to a maximum number of internet surfers.
 
Do effective social media promotion specially in Facebook,twitter and Google plus.And in SEO do more and more forum posting and article marketing.I think you will get a good result.
 
For getting high traffic on site it is good to have unique and powerful contents. If you want more traffic then social bookmarking is also a very effective SEO tool. First priority should be contents.

Hi, like other say content is the first, dont copy content from other site in your niche, use social network, add your site in directorie's, make on-page seo, search in google how, got a lot information how to make good on-page seo and information it's free, if you cant paid someone to build your seo. Talk with other webmaster to trade backlink's.
 
unique content is everything to build blog and make some money :d don't forget use seo but just natural and don't use generator traffic, buy traffic or buy backlink! just natural search is the best for make money

There's no easy way to huge traffic and money. Hard work, unique content, good site design, exclusives are the things what could bring you closer to big traffic.
