Hey guys, i think there is no need to panic, this is by far the best offshore hosing i used, i have been with them 2 months now with no trouble, the support via msn and website is really fast and friendly, they have been facing some issues the past 3 days as my site was a bit slow when loading and i hope the maintenance they are processing at the moment will fix the problem and hopefully our long waiting will be worth it

There is no way a host can justify 6+ hours downtime for security updates, i have been with tons of hosts since 1999 and when someone thinks it's fine to take your site down for 6 hours for security updates - they have no business in this industry.

However from reading around there are no reliable offshore hosts that come anywhere close to US standards. WFT come on the rest of the world do we live in 1970's forever. This is 2009 you don't take peoples sites down for 6+ hours for security updates.

I'd rather you offshore hosts 3x your prices and get some decent tech staff so one would dare host more than just the most minor of projects with you. If one rock solid offshore place comes along then you will clean up. I've been searching and reading all the boards i can, always some complaints or other about all offshore hosts it would seem. So i'm not saying you're any worse than the rest, but ffs can't someone start a decent hosting company outside of the US????????????????

first off... (sorry for taking this offtopic) there are a few companies out there who are actually good, you just have to look.
Second, how do you know their security updates if they even had those kinds of updates did not really take 6 hours? they could have installed them and had problems, or maybe had to do some testing before they put it back up.
I am not trying to justify the 6 hours, but i am just saying it could happen.
But if they are lying, they could at least have the decency to say that the server went down,or something went wrong, at least let the clients know what is going on, truthfully no matter what went wrong.
But... just my opinion. :)
 
I just want to say that this is a good host but i think they
should open a forum or something along those lines as far
as i am aware the hosting is active again :)
and i do like their service !! :)
 
he is the best service provider using it from last 6 months no doubt i never face downtime...
NOTE : The Prices Are Too Less Than THE SERVICE HE IS PROVIDING!! NO ONE CAN CHALLENGE HIM =))
 
All lagging stuff is gone now ... Everything is normal now .. We do apologize for the inconvenience caused past 48hours ago. .. Just wanna say One thing "there is no overselling word in our dictionary of service".

its for sure that ScopeHosts doesn't over sell.
they have multiple servers in multiple locations..I wonder why other hosting providers just reply in a thread which doesn't belong to them .
 
This is the slowest server i've ever been hosted on, max download speed is around 12KB/sec lol.... tested from a friends house i got 10KB and we are with different isp. Pages take forever to load and pictures over 200kb - forget about that.

Skip this host, i'm not going to be renewing with them. I will be putting the same report on the big boards too. This place is a joke.
 
By the above users username, you obviously know he came just to badmouth this host. Doubt the speeds are like dat lmao. Care to give us url to your site?
 
yeah i want to attract attention to my sites on such a well known board.., for now why not check out one of the other people sites that rave about this place and check their speeds..... hell why not try and load scopehosts.com that page takes forever for me.

My username was chosen during the 8 hour downtime they had the other day. The speed is terrible and others have mentioned this slowness in other posts in this thread - end of story.
 
ok well maybe it's depending on where you are located i guess, but i have quite a few mails from ppl complaining pages don't load or pics taking forever. I tested downloading some larger 300KB + files through ftp and got 11KB as stated. I have a 3MB line and get almost max speeds when testing all other hosts i'm using.

Come on for ffs there must be other people using this place that notice max speeds of 11KBS???? all the people sending emails to me can't be from my country can then?

Anyone here using the shared hosting here getting decent speeds??

I`am not understanding one thing . why don't you provide your site url and also why don't you open support ticket . there are 6 supporting staffs who are online 18/7 .

If you really facing any speed problem please do open ticket . there will be immediate solution from us . without doing your basic things .. your simply commenting here .

So please do open ticket if you are really scopehosts client .
