Hi,

I am running Centos 5 with Kloxo and want to install cURL on it. I have tried but am having troubles myself. I asked the host and they want to charge me quiet an amount to get it installed.

Could someone explain to me in detail how to do this? Or do it for me?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Only the apache module.

If you want standalone you can either compile from source or rpm.

Or just use yum,

yum install curl*

thanks all for the replies, i have installed it now & now am getting this message
'Warning: curl_exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/admin/proxy/admin.php on line 977"

Code:
yum install php-common

yum intsall php-curl

See if that helps. I can't say why you are having this with confidence! but did you anyhow edit the php.ini file & removed something?

Thanks all for your replies once again. I got it to work.

What I did was:
1) Login into Kloxo
2) Search PHP Config
3) Click Advanced PHP Config
4) Change Settings in there
5) Restart httpd

you need to disable php safe mode,
go to your php.ini file and look for
Code:
safe_mode = On
change it to
Code:
safe_mode = Off

Useless reply, safe_mode is disabled by default.

Code:
yum install php-common

yum intsall php-curl

He already installed curl using yum.

edit php.ini or update the php version may help

Useless reply. Curl is disabled in php.ini

Again, you just had to remove "curl_exec" from the disable_functions = "" row in php.ini

u have to remove curl_exec from the disable_functions ="" from php.ini

EDIT: as local said it already
