It's true 1&1 offers them for 0.99 cents the first year but have you ordered a domain from them? I have and it's one of those mistakes that I'll never do again.

Took them 3 days to setup my account there then I had to send them ID and address verification then after that it took another 72 hours for my NameServers to finish resolving. It was a living hell I'll never buy domain names from them again.
