The Netherlands will increase VAT from 19% to 21% in a couple of weeks. The VAT of Thaiand (where I live) is 7%.

Import taxes for imported cars are upto 600%.

When you write value, can you please write your country? In Croatia vat is 25%. Before few years was 22%, then 23%, now is 25%. It's fixed even on food.

Do you have extra Taxes plus to the V.A.T like Luxury Material Taxes for electronical or cars (we have V.A.T is 18% and + rest of tax is Luxury Material Tax) for all type electronical equaipments from cd player to LED tv or refrigrator or oven

On Brazil... well depends... 60% if you buy something from outside and ship it to Brazil + 25% of ICMS + 6% if you buy it on credit card
But the minimum is about 50% in anything....

As of this year the VAT in Croatia is 25% (up from 23%). It was previously raised in 2009, from 22% to 23%.

We also have a zero-rate (0%) VAT and a reduced-rate (10%) VAT. The zero-rate VAT applies to bread, milk, medical supplies and a few other life necessities, while the reduced rate of 10% applies to accommodation services (eg. hotel services) and to cafes, restaurants and bars.

The zero-rate is being cancelled on Jan 1, 2013, a few months before Croatia's accession to the EU in 2013 and will be replaced with the minimum allowed EU VAT of 5%. The reduced 10% rate won't change.
