sBorg's latest release, sBorg v5.2 is finally out! Just like all major releases, you have to delete your old sBorg folder, download the new installer, upload to your server and install the new version. Remember that installing sBorg requires an install ticket, so dont delete your old sBorg unless you already have install tickets. If you have ran out of install tickets, you can buy more here: http://sborg.us/site/purchase-plans/

After working on it for 2 over months, I've finally coded the Mediafire upload plugin for sBorg! It required a lot of changes to sBorg core, which made it possible to fix the filename issue that was there for gaiafile and usershare. Along with those, sBorg v5.2 also has Filefactory and Uploadstation upload plugins; but thats not all it has!

sBorg is now able to upload to ANY filehost that supports FTP upload! Thats right, sBorg v5.2 features an FTP upload feature. All you need to do is enter your FTP username, password and host in a proper way into sBorg and it'll upload to any filehost that supports FTP upload. You can get the link later when you login to your filehost account.

There has also been a lot of visual changes to sBorg, specially the index and setup pages. On index page, I've changed the filehost choice list from check-boxes to select-box. With the help of JavaScript, you can just click on the ones you want to select or unselect without holding on to the CTRL button anymore. Also, you'll notice that the "post title" and "unrar password" field on index page is now blue. This is just a visual aid to help you remember the fields you should fill up, even though they are not compulsory. On submit page, you'll notice that the filehost limits are removed. This was done so people don't confuse filehost limit with sBorg limits, cause sBorg has no file-size restrictions. Now you can also mute the "activated" sound from setup page!

If you'll notice, we've added 1 extra folder to sBorg. Its the sborg/fm/ folder. You can place your favorite file manager inside the folder and link to it from sBorg's setup page, by choosing it from "File Manager link". If you find a really good file manager, be sure to let us know via sBorg forums.

sBorg v5.2 also brings special features for resellers! Did you know that sBorg now features a bandwidth limiter? When you install sBorg, you can set the allocated bandwidth for the sBorg. When it reaches that limit, submit page of sBorg will stop working unless you use the bandwidth reset password to either reset the bandwidth or increase the bandwidth limit. That means you no longer have to keep an eye on user bandwidth manually! You don't even have to be logged into sBorg to reset or change bandwidth limit! If you are a regular user, you'll notice that the bandwidth reset form is at the very bottom of setup page. You can just enter your bandwidth reset password and reset it from there.

All you have to do is:
Code:
To reset bandwidth, go to: http://user.domain.com/sborg/del.php?bwreset=PASSWORD&y
To change bandwidth limit, go to: http://user.domain.com/sborg/del.php?bwreset=PASSWORD&bwlimit=2000
To reset bandwidth & change bandwidth limit, go to: http://user.domain.com/sborg/del.php?bwreset=PASSWORD&y&bwlimit=2000

Finally, there are some known issues with sBorg. First is, sBorg's forum poster will not work on all forums, specially the ones with captcha or modded skins. Another is when sBorg uploads to rapidshare, due to its SSL, libcurl (what sBorg uses to upload) shows the filesize as double of what actually is. This means if you upload a 200 MB file to filehosts, for all filehosts, it'll show 200 MB, however when it comes to rapidshare, the filesize will be shown as 400 MB. This is only a visual issue. The actual file being uploaded to rapidshare is still 200 MB.

.

Here are some screenshots from sBorg v5.2 beta:

I've purposely disabled gaiafile upload before taking these screenshots so you can see that sBorg will try to upload the file up to 9 times on failure!

.

waiting info...

wow..
You'll recieve all details in your payment email address. I processed yours like 6~8 hours ago :)

you still did not add a post generator
Post generator? sBorg already has one, right? A auto post generator and a manual post editor?

Can we upload to RS 1gb parts?
I'm premium there.
I am not sure, but you should be able to. Rapidshare says they removed file size limits. Not sure if there are any hidden limits...

Hi Somik,
Can you please add one more functionality to sBorg.
For some reasons, we want to run transmission on an alternate port than the default 9091, e.g. 7272
Can you add an function in sborg for custom/alternate transmission port so that sBorg can communicate to transmission even if its running on port other than 9091.

Thanks.
(sorry if posted in/at wrong place)
