How it Works ?​

A cryptocurrency that uses the unique algorithm called Proof of Capacity (POC), which utilizes your unused hard disk drive space instead of your processor or graphics card to mine BURST. Miners pre-generate chunks of data known as 'plots' which are then saved to disk.

Burst coin doesn't use CPU or GPU for mining. It only uses your Free Hard Disk Space (via plotting) which consumes minimal electricity. So you can just leave it running while you are working/playing/surfing etc on your PC or Laptop. So you can earn few quick Burst coins doing nothing & spending nothing.

Please note, It will only use your CPU / GPU while plotting your Hard Disk which is one time effort.

All depends upon the SPACE you dedicate for mining. To be frank enough don't expect much for now.
But being unique & most efficient mining style, Burst coins may be traded @ high price in future.
 
Kindly enlighten me.. all i have to do is download the software, run it login to my account? or what do i do? kindly explain..
 
Its a three step process - Downloading, Ploting & Mining

Download Burst Wallet - https://github.com/burst-team/burstcoin/releases/tag/1.2.6
Create you Account via Wallet & remember your passphrase (It is your password - Don't share it)

Once your Account is created, first thing you need to do is to create plots for your mining. Now time take for ploting HDD depends upon how much space you have allocated for that plot. I t may even take more than 12 hours if your are allocating above 1 TB space. Another factor is GPU/CPU performance. This is the only time when your CPU/GPU will be used. Faster CPU/GPU, Quicker process.

Once your plotting is completed, you can go & mine using those plots via Wallet. Video in first post tells you exactly what & how you need to do it.
 
Just to add more, There is a special feature within the Burst Wallet. It is called as 'Asset Exchange'

Asset Exchange basically acts as Equity Shares. Any Trader or Businessman or Developer comes up with their Investment plans over here & they issue shares to pool funds for their Investment purpose. You can buy those shares as per your Interest. Issuers will pay you dividend from time to time (In form of BurstCoins) in line with the profit generated from their Investment. You can also sell your shares in the secondary Market for Higher Price to make more money :)

Its a Good platform for Developers, since its a new coin with distinct feature & ability to beat BTC in future :)
