@FileGaG I just signed up with a free account and on "Profit Mode" stuck with "PPS 55% of Sales" I can't change/ - As per your site "PPS 55% of Sales" only for premium members right?

Please PM me your user id and I will switch it to your desired profit mode. For some reasons, certain browsers mess up the ability to switch profit modes...

Thanks for contacting them! Last week we had some serious problems with our site and some warez-bb members were probably unhappy. The site is back to normal now and I will contact them after I do a few modifications on the download pages to make them more professional looking.

dear filegag, I don't know if this is already replyed but I had notice trying to download a link, that betterinstaller.exe thing has a virus alert call; a sort of ad ware, trojan or similar.... could you please check this for the safety of users??

This is the first time this has been brought up. We are working with an popular ad network called somoto and that is probably what is setting off the malware/virus alerts, which I don't personally get on my computer. Obviously we want to be around for a long time and to become one of the biggest file sharing sites, so spreading viruses would not be a long-term strategy. I'm getting more and more complaints from my users. Every FileGag link enforce users to download an exe file. I hope you can remove this from your site as soon as possible Filegag.

Does someone have the knowledge what exactly is "somefile_downloader_by_filegag.exe" file? If it's not malware/trojan (like many information in the Internet says) then what is it? What does it do? It doesn't belong even to Filegag so why is it included on the website?

I think you should talk to Somoto and change the conditions of your cooperation.
 
yes i have seen this problem with the .exe file as a pop up before the capcha counts down to download the file. it seems like an ad based downloader and it's been happening since august. causes many problems.
and the stats are frozen again. :facepalm:
