Yes and he should do that on a VM not connected to the internet with a 100mbit connection. A VPS needs to be secured, to not become part of a botnet or send spam. What do you think where all the spam in your Inbox or your blog comes from?

No offense, but when you can't use basic commandline tools, you shouldn't have a vps. Instead you should go for shared webhosting or at least get a managed vps.

When you don't use zoom to upload, this is still very useful. There really are people running Linux or OS X who don't want to fuck around with wine, just for their uploads. Especially when they have fine upload scripts for their servers.

I use pyLoad on my servers, works with many hosters and has a nice webinterface, so no X is needed. Runnning X on a vps just to be able to use JDownloader is a total waste of ressources.

None of the above, pyLoad for premium downloads and with activated captchatrader.com plugin for free downloads. Even runs on servers without GUI and on very low hardware specs. :)

Freakshare redirects from freakshare.net to freakshare.com since 2010-29-09. My upload script stopped working too, but it was easily fixed by changing the domain in the script (not rl though). Maybe just give it a try and replace .net with .com in your freakshare.net_member.php.
