ODDNS: Decentralized and Open DNS To Defeat Censorship

Its still in its early days. The issue with allowing anyone to create a domain is regulation. We've been running censorship-free DNS for over 6 months now (although not decentralized) and have never had any issues. We also have a new little application that allows Windows users to switch to...

    FBI Seizing Live Streams websites

We've helped rojadirecta in the past so that people using our DNS will always be able to access their website. We tried to do the same for firstrowsports, but they seem unable to properly configure the .tv domain on their end. I am surprised at how many of these streaming sites use cpanel.

What are some safe domain TLD extensions that USA does not control

On our dns service, no domains are subject to seizure. Also, in the past, we have given people their own tld's, such as newz.bin etc. Although, unless your site is popular (shall we say with an alexa rank of 20,000 or less), it is unlikely your domain will be seized.

Lawmakers Seem Intent on Approving SOPA, PIPA

The scary part is not whether ICANN follows the law (that is a stupid question), because they will. It is scary because it makes any attempt to circumvent a block, an offence. Looking for DNS Beta Testers.

This is going a bit offtopic, but its a valid question nonetheless, so I will answer it. It is not in their interests to block IP addresses since we don't own them ourselves. So they would actually be blocking addresses that could potentially be used by another customer at our DC...

    Looking for DNS Beta Testers.

To those of you that don't know, we run an alternative, public DNS service, designed to combat DNS blocking and domain seizure. For the most part, we maintain and run our own servers. Although our backup DNS server (which happened to be rented) was recently taken out with the closure of...

    Megaupload Block

You need to find out whether your isp is blocking all packets, or simply using dns blocking. If its the former, then you will have to use a vpn or proxy to bypass it. The latter is easily bypassed by using an alternative dns provider like google dns, or blockaid. :p I'd run a traceroute to...

    OVH vs Hetzner

Hetzner are generally perceived as the better network, but they will absolutely not tolerate any warez on their network and have been known to instantly disable accounts n receiving dmca notices. Be careful who you resell to.
