most of the people dont know
what is the difference between kilobits/s and kilobytes/s
suppose u have a BSNL broadband Unlimited plan of UL 750 HOME
then the speed of that broadband connection
mesaured in kilobits that is 256 KBPS
and the download speed which is only around 30 KBPS is measured in Kilobytes
so internet speed
256 KBPS -- 256 kilobits per second (internet speed)
is different from
30 KBPS ---- 30 Kilobytes per second (downloading speed)
so if anybody says that it has a conection of 1 MBPS (here MBPS stand for MEGABIT PER SECOND it is not MEGABYTE)
then the downloading speed of this person is around 125 KBPS (kilobytes per second)
1 kilobyte = 8 bits
MY INTERNET CONNECTION SPEED IS AROUND 17 KILOBYTES PER SECOND
around 136 KILOBITS PER SECOND
