Nope, not that. Sorry, I might have mixed that up - my English sucks.
Making money out of warez is easy anyway. To be clear - I am not an uploader. I just support the idea of free sharing of good quality, digital content and I find afiliate programs very helpful in this topic. We can argue if sharing for money is good or bad but it is a very different story.

@ Revolution.

What I was expecting was a middle finger to holywood and US Gov. for example:
- Making it imposible to remove good quality copyrighted content from hosting services by autorities.
- Enabling artists to earn real money from selling music directly to audience (good to hear that they're working on it)

and more mind-blowing-internet-anarchy features that only real badass pirate can think of.

Maybe I overestimated the power of Dotcom.
 
people who buy premium (they money) from MEGA are power not Dotcom, so with this MEGA FAIL service, i realy doubt about any power of Dotcom, simple becouse american goverment still frozen all his money, now when his in big debt bring as crap expensive service, and try to make BIG money in second, Sorry Kim not from my money.
 
From what I know, MEGA is finanse by a fund owned by Dotcoms wife. I doubt that he is broke. But you're righ, he is not going to get any profits unless he offers something more than what we've seen so far.

I know what you mean, but how long would he last if he made it impossible to remove CPC from his servers? I mean, he's already been targeted by the Adult[STRIKE]Troll[/STRIKE]King even as it is. Mega wouldn't last one week.

What he did with the whole encryption thing was pretty much an statement saying "Hey, I have no means to know what's being hosted on my servers, therefore you can't shut me down. Just send me the link of the URL and I'll take it down."

I can't forecast the future, obviously, but I really doubt that.
He'll provide a nice service, charges premium prices and had a publicity stunt that no money could buy. Even after more than two days, the website is still overloaded lol

If you see Mega solely as a warez filelocker, sure, it wouldn't last too long, but it is not.

the guy invested like what, 5% of his fortune to start this megaupload replacement but only for a reason to show US they can't stop him.
in reality i think he doesn't give much fuck about mega but rather about the money he can get.
otherwise he wouldn't be partying around his mansion or where ever the hell he was and celebrating the start of a poor site that was not even functional for the first couple of days.

and still calling it a revolution :))
