Work laptop USB drive

Dear Experts

I have got my work laptop (domain setup), I have been forced to use it.

On that laptop i have got my private thing which is not work related.

I can copy that to a USB stick , but when I use that USB on desktop it says files protected, can't copy them to my desktop

Is there a work around this issue ?

I don't mean a switch of a usb stick that can be slide to "unlock".

It is a security thing implemented by work that didn't allow us to copy the stuff from a work computer.

Same USB if I hook it to any other colleague work laptop I can copy my stuff from USB to that laptop.

Try going to properties advanced and take ownership of the files on the usb. Then copy them. Or use a recovery cd and boot from that then copy the files to your home computer.
