Wordpress title preg_replace

hey

i need something i can add to my functions.php that will replace the . with a space in wordpress post title, simple for someone that knows what they are doing.

any help would be much appreciated

Replace all <?php the_title(); ?> with this one

<?php $title = get_the_title($ID); echo str_replace('.',' ',$title); ?>
