I haven't got the original PM anymore from Splitice but it checks a link one by one and then emails you when it finds a dead link, you state the email address in the lc.php file.
It uses a cache system and is cached for every 20 minutes and you need to have the WP File Cache plugin installed.
For Fileserve the whole link needs to be displayed for them to be checked, each links shows in Green text for alive and Red for dead.
Once I have it working with Rapidshare again I will have it working on my blog.
