Wordpress Help - Post update and loading slow

Hey guys...I'm facing a issue with wordpress. When I try to update or publish a post it takes pretty long. Also if the users on my site hike above 100 at an instant, then the site becomes very slow and admin panel loads damn slowly.

The server readings show fine as in Ram is only 50% used, BW left is a lot etc. Could this be contention of the database? Also I heard there is some software called nginx or something like that wich is used to improve database performance. Could you please let me know the correct name and also post ur suggestions.

ask your host to allot more mysql connections, if you are on vps buy some more ram and allocate more ram to mysql,4 star sites are no joke spend some time on mysql usage and optimize them, nginx is installed for http proxy it does not effect mysql performance.
 
As for a slow site when traffic increases that is your hosts fault. It obviously can not handle that many at once.
I would suggest you compress your entire site manually and automatically via your ACP and mod_
delete your overheard in SQL
