Why DDLs are less popuplar?are they user friendly?

Now DDLS are not good as earlier. No one can take the position of Katz or phaze. Can you find the actual reason?

Besides Search engine restriction,reason of loosing users

I go through many DDLs last couple of weeks and found that

*DDLS have rules, but they don't maintain it.
*Allowing sites to submit premium links
*Allowing sites with POPUP ads
*Ignore Report

All current DDls are for the webmaster of hungry cash lovers who forcing people to buy premiums. No one are user friendly.
So,why a visitor should visit them?From my experience,katz was so much strict with the content,links of submission



Here are short note of some top current DDLs :

Mecho following dead katz...Many of sites using more than 4 image button..also premium submission accepted

Twilight have rules, but they don't maintain. and if reported 90% times they do ignore.

Phzae and Dirtywarez don't have rules relating premium submission..

Phzae have rules relating premium submission but it's not apply for 1 & 2* sites.You see only sites Whitelist Requirements.Go to see our sites re-rate Requirements

We are human & also have our real life problems so everyday we can't check everything but when we can catch any site that violate our rules we take action ASAP.
About premium links only ddl site can't do anything there's also responsibility webmasters to force uploader for adding free links.

Almost two years ago on the 28th of April 2011 I predicted the end of DDL sites in a long detailed post.

"Well for starters it's the beginning of the end of most DDL sites."

This is the reason DDL sites aren't as popular as before and the reasons the owners aren't putting in as much effort or time. It has nothing to do with their rules.
