hi guys,

want to see how many of you guys have windows 8 preview installed...
and would any please give their review if they have...

thinking of installing it :)

BETA is out but there's not much with it. whatever you have on windows 7 won't work with 8 of course so I wouldn't bother trying it as yet.
 
i have it as dual boot for both my laptops.. i use it sometimes.. but not a lot.

Beta is NOT OUT YET.

If I were you I would just wait about a month if you want to try it.

Everything you said was totally wrong.

Developer Preview is out atm. Beta will be out at the end of the month or early Feb.

Who said whatever you have on windows 7 wont work on windows 8 ? .. Programs ya you would have to reinstall them. But windows 8 actually has usb3.0 support, has more features, runs all the programs i use fine, and since i have it on a separate partition i can access my files too.

Once the beta is out though I will be converting to Windows 8 full time :P

i have used it, looks crap, i'ma gonna stick with windows 7.

That O.S is meant to work good with touch screen devices, they just added few new functionality and want to sell it as different version to earn more money.

lol ... it cant be that bad... it just looks a lot cleaner now from the look of the screens :-P

do you even use windows 7 ?

have you even used a beta before ?

when i first tested windows 7 the pre-beta. it didnt even have aero on it. or well it was shitty. but then look what it turned out to be.

im sure everyone hates the green plan look. but thats what basic shit looks like. ive been reading up on news about windows 8 and they really are doing a lot.

tablets are the current "fad" . MS doesnt have much market so they are creating windows 8 so they can have an OS that is more tablet friendly.

yes windows 8 has a weird look .. but its a preview so far... you can disable the metro look and certain features. right now they are just displaying the tablet look for it.

im pretty sure MS is just going to do what they currently do... just add on a new edition called tablet edition. and on their desktop or non touch screen versions they will have some changes or allow you to change some other features.

remember. windows 8 is not a finished product. its in the beginning stages of being built. so dont diss it until its finally out and you have tried it.

also.. check out some of the new news on neowin about CES.. MS has shown off some new features and looks. :)
