Which server is better ;P?

Which server do you think it's better and really good. It's gonna be used for a large site getting 500-1000 members and guests combined. The site will do lot of query's. These are the 2 servers to compare from:

• Intel Core i7 940 2.93Ghz
• 12288 MB DDR3 RAM
• 500 GB 7.200 RPM
• 2000 GB Traffic p/m

or

• 2x Intel Xeon Quad 5405
• 8192 MB FB DDR2 RAM
• 500 GB 7.200 RPM
• 2000 GB Traffic p/m

Which server is better and why would it be better? The server is from WorldStream and both server are the same price.

From the i7 Core and Xeon. They both are 149 euro and this server wise: "
Preimum Server XL" Tell me which one should I get?

1st one is better though I am also guessing it is much more expensive. Although the i7's dont perform as good as they should in a server enviroment from what I have heard.

I'll go with the 2nd one, if its just for inwarez you would probably use no more than 1GB-2GB ram but having a more powerful processor would be great.

RPM rate is more than enough for your site as you have mentioned you get loads of users & queries
