Which OS use Webmasters?

Hello all,

I opened this thread to know what operative system use webmasters, which is better for work? What makes it better than others, please leave a reply, i want to know which is the best and going to use on my pc. :facepalm:

Im confused. Are you asking about the OS webmasters use on their servers or on their home PC?

Anyhow, CentOS for servers, w7/ubuntu for home PC.

I forget to tell, i'm asking about the OS webmasters use on their home Pc... Thanks for remind me.

Which is better? Who has a lots of features to make work more easy?
 
Well if you don't play games etc. go with Linux (Ubuntu) as for Windows I recommend Windows 7.

Or even better, why not have both and go with dual boot? :P
 
Hyperz started a project about a year or two ago. It was a OS for warez users and webmasters here on WJ. should look into it as it sounds what your at.

Yep, i'm not looking for a operative system for fun such games on others, just for work...

Bad thing is that on the official thread there are no more screenshots to see what is? Is there any member who use that OS. B-)

Please explain the Os, why do you think is better to use a webmaster?
 
Ubuntu is my favorite. It doesn't get all junked up after a few months like windows does. So for work and play I would have to say Ubuntu all the way.
 
Linux is good for webmasters.
Windows and Mac are good for web designers.
All are good for web developers.
It's your choice - depends on what you are.
 
Shouldnt the question perhaps be what Browsers Webmasters use?

Any webmaster/site and forum owner with common sense should in my view have atleast 2-3 browsers installed and use them just to be sure how the site/forum looks like and work.

If you wanna be pro webmastering all the time I strongly advise Ubuntu, otherwise use windows 7

I used Ubuntu when I was running an old warez board that I used to own and I used it for security purposes. It was pretty awesome and worked well once I got used to it. But windows 7 also works fine although easier to breach.
