Which is the ethical way of doing SEO?

Hello

I think the most legal n ethical way of doing SEO is through White Hat SEO as it is the most reliable among all on web.
Search engines also allows this type to work.

yes White hat seo is very good but most of people adobe black hat seo method its easy to getting visitor but its only for limited time if you go with White hat seo Your traffic is quite low but during passing of time your traffic is keep going up and up and its for long term not limited
 
White Hat is the safest but also slowest way. IMHO go with gray hat, you will gain traffic more in short amount of time plus in same time you are working on WH for long term. Just play it smart, dot spam.
 
The best way to do SEO to follow general guidelines - do on-page SEO always & then proceed to do off-page SEO. Never use blackhat methods for link development as google algorithms tend to penalize all such methods, and instead of going up, your site starts to get down in ranks until it is blacklisted. Do you know the your website is placed in sandbox when it first appears in google ? Google will never lift the sandbox period even if it gets a hint of you doing blackhat stuff. So my advise, be legit, always !
 
White hat SEO simply means, add necessary meta tags, h1,h2,etc tags, write unique content and wait for Google to start loving your site.
Google says "Build your site for your readers, not search engines".
If white hat means going by what Google tells you, then trust me, any form of link building is black hat. Google does NOT allow building backlinks at all. For google, genuine backlink means, when some website owner likes your page and puts a link to it on his site somewhere, be it header/footer or just a blog post. Building backlinks for your own site is ALWAYS black hat, whether you do it manually or use some tool. People who say manual link building is white hat are simply talking bull shit.
