Which Forum Board is Better?

I just wanna know that which forum board is better please help me i am gonna start my new forum and need a little help from u guys i wanna know about these 3 only.

1) IPB
2) Phpbb
3) vb(If vb tell me version)

Ah the old debate. This never get's old.

vBulletin 3 is good but is fast becoming dated in terms of coding, efficiency and feature. It was once very good when it was compared to IPB 2.3.6 however since the IPB 3.x range and particularly 3.1 series has started IPB is now the better alternative. If you start a vBulletin 3.x site now expect to be forced to upgrade in less than a year or switch to a different script. You should think long term when starting a site not short term or you'll regret it later.

Most of the people here still use vBulletin as they find the template system easier or are more used to it but if your serious about your site and plan on running it for more than a year go with IPB.

PHPBB has a serious upgrade due soon with the release of it's 3.1 which will include a plugin-system. Until then I don't consider it a serious contender.

I personally like vBulletin and phpBB. Overall I'd go with vBulletin though.
