If you want free then I recommend Avast , superantispyware and Malwarebytes. coupled with Comodo firewall They are all free for personal use .

F-Secure

I would recommend (F-Secure), I have used the Anti-Virus software for a couple of years and I would never change.

The Government in United Kingdom use F-Secure too, and a lot of other known companies etc.

I am a ESET SmartSecurity user and really happy.

For free antivirus I recommend BitDefender Free Ed. is really quiet and doesn't disturb like avast.

I'd say No to Kaspersky!

I've had some bad experiences with them, they reported me all the smallest threats, which were actually apps with no certificate, but did not recognize some new Trojan viruses, so .. but maybe it was a singular case. I'd go with Panda or something smaller but effective.

Avast is my choice, I have tried & ditched about 10 different Apps in the past including AVG, Norton, Eset, kaspersky etc but have now settled on Avast (paid version)
