Please note: I'm not trained for this, its just my lessons i've learned from years of reading articles. If you want help with Body Building you can ask Smith on the forum. I don't have as many years as Smith does.

I'm taking a Personal Trainer Certified course right now! woo!

==

I mean like, what do you take everyday? Vitamins? Protein? Antioxidants? Fish Oil? Omega(s)? Anti-sickness, etc?

I've always been interested in what people take everyday, or even take as a workout supplement. It also helps broaden my knowledge on what is out there.

I Take these the most, they are my primary. Clean Gainer was/is my backup since im not trying to gain, im trying to cut, hence the Promasil.

Great topic kief ;) Looking forward to the comments on this one. I take none, mainly because I don't like ingesting pills or anything of that nature for personal reasons.

I used to take vitamins, a post workout protein shake (which I got from a friend to test out) and creatine, results were pretty great. I never liked the idea of taking protein, but after I tested it myself, I'll probably get my own now.

Still confused on which brand to go with tho, I checked bodybuilding.com and people recommend Animal Pack and Gold whey, anyone ever tired these two?

Currently taking nothing but creatine, gonna see if I loose some mass in a month or two.

@ RT isn't creatine water muscle. (Not to sounds stupid or anything but I grew up around it and it wasn't used for working out rather to cut kilos of cocaine) ?

I have tried lots. Supposedly the Mark Whalberg Protein line is very good.

I prefer Rivalus, because i've seen the best results, i talk to the company owners all the time, i get sent free stuff, and all their stuff is 'All Natural' so its competition safe; If you wanted that side of BB.

I remember one of the owners saying they are trying to get their suppelemts as Organic as they can, and might be doing a Vegan Line.

I've learned to maximize muscle growth, you should take CAESINE WHEY AT NIGHT. BEFORE BED. as it takes i think 4-6 hours to ingest, thus your body is slowly taking protein through the night.

I cycle on/off creatine every 2 bottles or so, which is a 2 months or so. I don't like how the Muscles can get 'Mushy' or 'Saggy' from to much Creatine (and sometimes not enough water)

Gold Whey is your standard Whey. Nothing special.

Rivalus / Cellucor / BSN have the best Protein Powders around imo. They combine lots of BCAA and SAA (very rarely, its a new chain of amino acids form organic Silk) and lots of other micro nutrients, so it lessens the amount of stuff you have to take a daily basis.

While im not trained in this area, i have learned from years of reading lots of stuff, even considering turning my IgnorantKiefer into a blog dedicated towards Supplements maybe. Me and the Rivalus people are talking.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you are taking Whey (any kind) make sure you eat lots of Green veggies. If you don't the protein can make you constipated and can lead to Hernia's (What i read in my Personal Training book) and Hemorrhoids (<=== i know this personally.... 3x)

Everyone should take Creatine, imo.

There are no side effects other then thirst... which theorretically is a good thing. Water Retention is from people who don't cycle properly and/or don't go off them. Its also caused from not enough H20 intake.

Creatine increases cognitive thinking, supports faster mucle growth and numerous other things. I can link you to an article about it if you wish.

I did my research on this one I'm taking, they say it causes no water retention. My muscles also feel rock solid, not some puffy shit. I'm just taking it to help me work harder, give me that boost on my reps. Still testing out, I'm kinda new to the supplements world, not even a full year.

@Kief, cheers for the info mate, will look into these brands. :)

Plan on changing a lot then, till you find your line. Everyone is different, which you know.

Its taken my about 2 years to learn what Supplements i like. I use BodyBuilding.com A LOT. Its a great source.

Where do you Shop? If you or anyone you know has a Military ID, most supplement stores (atleast in Canada) give almost up to 40% off.

CAESINE WHEY AT NIGHT. BEFORE BED.

^^ You're way overusing protein if it makes you constipated.

Lots and lots lol

With breakfast I have my vitamins (8 pills in total). 1,600IU of D-3, omega-3's, saw palmetto, lycopene and beta-sitosterols for the prostate, 1,000 mg of l-arginine, and horny goat weed, maca, nettle and yohimbe.

I do protein shakes. Usually two a day.

I''ve been using creatine too. I put the serving in with my post workout protein shake.

Pre workout I use N.O xplode

I cycle test boosters. I will be starting Super Test by Beast Sports Nutrition. That'll be 3-4 capsules before morning meal and 3-4 capsules before evening meal.

Sounds like me! haha!

NOXplode makes me shit 5x a day, i couldnt hanbdle it lol. The pump was good tho!

How old are you Jesse? Test Boosters arent need till your usually 30+ since we produce so much at a young age. If you take them to early, it can restart your hormonecycle :p

Test booster is to be used around 23-24+. I'm 26. They work very well.

N.O xplode has never made me shit. MusclePharm Assault does almost instantly though

None.
I am not a person willing to experiment with my healt, just to boost my ego with my outside look. I don't have any problem with my look.
I was always considering bodybuilders to be people with lack of selfesteem, who have to build their body to feel more secure about them, or are actual pussies in real life, who think that their look will defend them from bullies (talking from personal experience with bodybuilders). It's natural defense mechanism. Instead they should train boxing, or marshal arts, if this is the feeling they have, when they think of themselves.

But that's my 2 cents, I don't want to generalize things, even though I have no other explanation why would someone want to change his body. I am sure they have their own reasons. But, regular excersize is enough for healt, shape, and good look.

Running, bicycle, swimming. No supplementals of any kind. Everything you need is in natural grown food. And that's a fact.

Unfortunately you did just generalize things. Your lack of knowledge towards the sport of fitness (bodybuilding) is no reason to think anything like that.

If you feel vitamins and protein are experimental, you have larger things wrong with you. Not just bodybuilders take them...

lol
@ RT I have 82kg, and 190cm tall ;)
@ Jesse yes, it's possible I did. However, I am not talking about professional bodybuilders. I am talking about people who do not compete.

I don't compete. I do it because I love it. So do a lot of my friends. I wouldn't say we are pussies or have a damn thing wrong with us. We do it because we love it. Pushing yourself like crazy. It's not just about lifting weights. It's a whole damn lifestyle.

Wonder how much of that 82Kg is actual mass vs fat. People workout to look great, not good, but great. I'm not talking about professionals as well, just your regular fella with a lean body on his normal weight.

Just my opinion. I dislike Test boosters. I've heard to mnany horrible stories of it :P

Never tried or heard of MusclePHarm Assault!

While i agree with the Natural is all we need, there are to many benefits for taking certain supplements. I just stay with as Natural of a product as i can.

I disagree with we do it to feel better. Our body is a Roman Empire, but right now, half the world is the state of Kentucky (lol /bash). Our bodies are empires and we must train them to be the elite.

Its a dog eat dog world out there, and its the fittest survive. imo. I hang out with lots of BB who are WAY bigger then me, and they are the nicest people you meet. Way nicer then any Drunk you'll meet. Most BB who want a 'Lean' body more then a 'Bulk' Body.

My workouts consists of multiple variations of Kickboxing, Lamai Muay Thai, Karate, Kung Fu, Capoeira, Jiu Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do and Boxing. All HIIT.

My weight lifting goes around and inbetween PAP, MC, and plain old SQUAAAAAATS!!!!

^Fatty detected.

lol.

I'd rather wokrout every hour of the day, then consume liqour and poison myself. Like people do everyday and every weekend. I like my liver :P

To mind

4800mg Piracetam(I'll change to Noopept)
600mg Choline Bitartrate
300mg Sulbutiamine

To body

1g Mucuna Pruriens
1g Tribulus Terrestris
3g L-Arginine
