I used to take vitamins, a post workout protein shake (which I got from a friend to test out) and creatine, results were pretty great. I never liked the idea of taking protein, but after I tested it myself, I'll probably get my own now.
Still confused on which brand to go with tho, I checked bodybuilding.com and people recommend Animal Pack and Gold whey, anyone ever tired these two?
Currently taking nothing but creatine, gonna see if I loose some mass in a month or two.
I have tried lots. Supposedly the Mark Whalberg Protein line is very good.
I prefer Rivalus, because i've seen the best results, i talk to the company owners all the time, i get sent free stuff, and all their stuff is 'All Natural' so its competition safe; If you wanted that side of BB.
I remember one of the owners saying they are trying to get their suppelemts as Organic as they can, and might be doing a Vegan Line.
I've learned to maximize muscle growth, you should take
CAESINE WHEY AT NIGHT. BEFORE BED. as it takes i think 4-6 hours to ingest, thus your body is slowly taking protein through the night.
I cycle on/off creatine every 2 bottles or so, which is a 2 months or so. I don't like how the Muscles can get 'Mushy' or 'Saggy' from to much Creatine (and sometimes not enough water)
Gold Whey is your standard Whey. Nothing special.
Rivalus / Cellucor / BSN have the best Protein Powders around imo. They combine lots of BCAA and SAA (very rarely, its a new chain of amino acids form organic Silk) and lots of other micro nutrients, so it lessens the amount of stuff you have to take a daily basis.
While im not trained in this area, i have learned from years of reading lots of stuff, even considering turning my IgnorantKiefer into a blog dedicated towards Supplements maybe. Me and the Rivalus people are talking.
SPECIAL NOTE: If you are taking Whey (any kind) make sure you eat lots of Green veggies. If you don't the protein can make you constipated and can lead to Hernia's (What i read in my Personal Training book) and Hemorrhoids (<=== i know this personally.... 3x)

@ RT isn't creatine water muscle. (Not to sounds stupid or anything but I grew up around it and it wasn't used for working out rather to cut kilos of cocaine) ?
Everyone should take Creatine, imo.
There are no side effects other then thirst... which theorretically is a good thing. Water Retention is from people who don't cycle properly and/or don't go off them. Its also caused from not enough H20 intake.
Creatine increases cognitive thinking, supports faster mucle growth and numerous other things. I can link you to an article about it if you wish.

Great topic kief

Looking forward to the comments on this one. I take none, mainly because I don't like ingesting pills or anything of that nature for personal reasons.
Explain! :D
