What's the history with BayW, ForumW etc.

What is the history between these sites or does anyone know anything about them. I'm trying to find out a bit of info for my site http://wrzc.org

I tried several times to find out directly but they are obviously hiding something as if I ask a general question it get's answered but if I ask a specific question on their site about the history or domain it get's removed by staff. This makes me even more curious as it seams like they are trying to hide something.

Was it ex staff from WBB or something that set it up or what? I can't remember as I'm getting old or is it linked to PlatinumW as well.

To my knowledge there were no ex wbb staff on forumw. Forumw was another big site that was competing against w-bb but they had frequent downtime and could not handle server load at all which is why members were leaving to w-bb. Forumw and w-bb did not have a feud just friendly competition though ForumW could not handle the amount of members they had. To my utmost knowledge, Bayw was created by ex members of ForumW, why they did it I don't know probably they had trouble with the other staff.

CoolAsIce (Former ex-warezbb staff) used to be Founder of BayW few years ago, or something like that (don't remember exactly).. anyway.. I remember his status at BayW as Administrator and Moderator on WarezBB.

Not sure about ForumW, but it was something to do with ProjectW.
 
Warez-BB's History
It was initially started with Grizzly (the one who runs the other forum) somewhere at around year 2002 and because of some school problem he had sold the site to Damas and dabawi. They hired a scripter to redesign the site, etc and had placed the site on a very crappy server which couldn't handle it's load of about 300 to 400 users online. Back then the original board had about 50k users and 50k posts due to pruning.

There was a dispute and then dabawi formated the server, WarezBB was then moved to another server. This went on and on. We went through tough grounds when our site was hacked. Soon after I was appointed the scripters work and started taking up an admin role of running the forum since damas wasn't around.

Then around March 2005, there had been hosting problems and we were kicked off and the original domain had been redirected to the forumw. Bento and Didoz angered by this started their own WarezBB, called Warez-BB. Then I was reinvited back as well as many of the ex staff and it all went from there til today."


ForumW and BayW
ForumW admins own ProjectW too and afaik, BayW admin used to be ForumW's owner's buddy so he took in forumw members, when forumW was down for months and when same happened to BayW, BayW was merged with forumW and BayW was re-directed to forum and in a few months, BayW got seperated back.


ForumW and ForumW.ca
ForumW.ca was renamed to ForumW.org and the site had 2 admin, i don't remember their nicks, and it was told, that one of the admins got pissed at the owner and threatened he will sell the DB and asked a big price and they were kicked from forumw and the two admins, started ForumW.ca which was forumw's old domain and many of the forumW staffs followed them.
