What makes you choose a webhost?

I am just interested to see how people come to the final decision as to who they want to host with.

many different people look for different things, and I am sure that other web hosts can learn from this.

So simple, Vote and lets see the outcome!

Heres my list of what i look for in a host.

look for Good UptimeShould have quick Support
Somebody who has a large customer base and good reviews on the Net
Somebody your friends or other websites owner host with

You should have allowed multiple votes since I look for the following;
- Awesome uptime.
- Support must be good.
- Owner should know what he/she is doing.
- Webhost has been in business for quite a long time.
- Reviews are good.
- Webhost has a lot of clients.

Sometimes I even look at the site presentation, if its just a simple page with the shiz they offer then the webhost may be a money-grabber (That's what I think).

Well, you say that but I can name a couple of hosting companies that you would never know were being run by people between 18 and 20 years old.

So when it is up; it sure is awesome! But, then it goes down a lot

I think that its an imcomplete poll, cause i think that 90% of the people looks for all those things toghether...

People dont look only for 1 of the options, if not for all of them.

Personally... I first want good support, then good uptime. followed by a speedy server.

I am just looking for the one main reason. Clearly you try to find a host with all of those, but this is just for some personal research
