What Is The Difference Between Cloud Hosts Like Dropbox And Other Files Hosts ?

Hey Guys
I know the question might sound stupid so some of you but i never seem to get a proper answer relating to the questions as to what is the difference between cloud hosts like dropbox and normal file hosts.
Both have the same capabilities as far as the functions are concerned.
So please explain and please refrain from making stupid comments saying that everyone knows this and all

dropbox => no PPD or PPS , less space, collabration possible (more memebers can add), Costly , In USA so they log all data and zero privacy and they give your data directly to NSA, size of file is restricted.

Other filehosts => ppd or pps, high space or no restriction on space, they add new feature to attact users and develop, they not give their user data and email address to NSA, hope atleast we got little privacy and more reliable , even we upload 8.5 GB iso as single link and share

Eg: If you have uploaded.net premium then you get minimum download speed of 40 mbps (atleast for me, max is 120 mbps) but that speed is not possibl in cloud, because they're created for high availability not for speed.
