What is the Best Alternative to Photoshop?

I like photoshop but it takes forever to use it. What programs are you guys using that you find work better than photoshop?

For what purpose. If you design user interfaces then, Sketch app is great. It's lightweight, works fast and specially made for UI designers. Unfortunately, it's only available for MAC OS

I think you should opt for GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) . This software is ultra light weight as well as more easier to learn but though it has various features like photoshop but it lacks at some features. Most of the works which we take use of photoshop daily can be performed on GIMP. So i think you should give it a try.
