What is good site load times?

I know site speed plays a role in search rankings and everyone wants a fast loading site, but I'm curious as to what is good load times? I've done a little bit of optimizing, but I'm not sure if I should find a better server or not.

According to GTmetrix my load time is 2.32s and Pingdom is telling me 1.05s.

Yes, I know that but the faster your website is the higher you will rank in search rankings. I was just wondering what a good load time is.

It also depinde's on the website script, images, traffic...etc

So he can do some optimization on the website itself, to improve its speed.
