I don't know if this topic has been discussed before (if it has then i'm sorry & mods can delete this)

Otherwise, I carry on. We all have our own blogs or forums with your own staff helping you keep site updated & such, etc.

Let's say you're an admin & you had a team of staff from different parts of the world. This causes timezone problems (ofcourse we know that).

Back in the day i used to use MSN Messenger & had group chats etc, and ofcourse IRC was there.

Seems like those days are over lol because some people prefer FB, twitter, or skype video chat (really ??). etc...

Anyways, the real question is what tools or methods do you use to talk to other members of your site (staff) ?
(Especially if they all in different time zones & you want to prevent duplicate content on your forums / or blogs etc.)

I do not really run a forum, but when I did it was email form.

And for any staff who do work for me, it is email form, best method I think.

I always assumed email was the slowest method of communication but ofcourse @Paul0130 i do agree with you, it works well.

Too bad you cant have a group chat with the members if you're planing something or discussing about new content being posted on site/forums etc.. etc..

Emailing is the best way in my opinion because people can get in touch with eachother using computers, tablets, smartphone which everyone has one in his/her pocket nowaday.
It is sometimes slow but works perfectly.

@serverlayers, that was my original idea, because that way i can also add "sticky" information, that i don't have to repeat all the time, especially when it comes recruiting new members.

I miss those times when I used to demonstrate everything live while on MSN/IRC as a group so that everyone was on the same page.

Hello,

Emailing is the best method as most of your staff will be using andriod and apple and will get your email right into their portables so your message will be delivered faster. rather then staff coming and checking the staff section.

Just my two cents.

Regards.
