What are considered good speeds for shared hosting?

Hi all.

So, I've got shared hosting, but the speeds seem kinda slow. My host says that these are the speeds I should expect to get from a shared host, and if I want anything better I must use a VPS or dedi, but I'm not so sure.

Anyway, this is the speed I'm getting off host-tracker.com.
Is this considered ok?

Well it depends on the dc sometimes and the routing from your host to you or other people.
Or it could be they are using to much of the port speed and it slows down the sites hosted on the server.
If you are having such problems you may want to consider asking them to fix it, and if you are still unhappy find an allternate host.

Even though that test doesnt look good Your site seems to load fast so i wouldnt bother about it.

You can enable debug in config.php to show page load times to check it some more.

Well i got this when i tried according to you on host-tracker.com

Let me clear that shared hosting loading speed varies from 2-15 secs because there will be around 50+ clients on a single server & i don't think so that's called overselling .

If its above 30 +sec all the time then we can consider it has there is some heavy traffic on the server.

Speed varies for each client as all will be sharing single port connection.

Thank you.
