Okay considering I was told warez forums aren't about making money when my personal opinion is, "obviously they are out to make money" someone on the opposite side of the argument told me to make a poll so here it is



Do people make warez sites to gain money?

Both man.. Of course we arent going to spend so much money monthly just to have a site up, that will not give back anything in return. Once your site pays for itself, that is when adding more ads or whatever t gain revenue for yourself is a bit bad..
 
To be honest, I never was in it for the money. The site generated tremendous income but I always invested it back into the site, servers, advertisements, rapidshare & megaupload accounts, and I've even donated money to sites in the scene and re-cycled the income and purchased V.I.P accounts on many other Warez forums out there.

For me it was never about money, and it still isn't. I care about running the greatest site on earth and it takes money to do that. In the end years down the road if I make more than I can invest or spend on the site in someway, then I guess I have no choice but to keep some pocket change. But it's never about the money for me, it's a hobby and I love doing what I do.

Real money is made elsewhere.
 
Warez is a love based of giving and receiving as well as having and sharing. And the love that we give and have is shared and received. And through this having and giving and sharing and receiving, we too can share and love and have... and receive warez. :D
 
I can proudly say i'm not in for the money ...
and also i requested this topic and i think it's kinda childish you had to use that sarcasm in the poll i requested an honest poll to see the publics opinion ..

warez sites are for the sake of sharing pirated content with the world for free !
as i already said before , making profit out of free content is same as selling your shit packed in a box that says chocomouse.

your not actually taking money from people for the warez your
not taking any money from them
your only taking money from advertiser who want to advertise on your site
so free = still free
