There was a thread about videobb about a week ago, lib3rty1 said he was trying it out.

I still believe payrate is too low, especially with the 1 counted view per 24 hours. :|

I got about 40$ in 10 days...

bman you are right. Rates are little low. There should be counted one view per file per ip for 24 hours and that would be great. Or rise up rates or down number of views.


but today countig has stopped.
Daily I got about 4 k views and now 485 so it is odd

what do you mean counting has stopped ? i think they still counted one view per file per ip for 24 hours,they don't change anything :D

bcos till now per day I had counted at last 4 k views and now I got under 1 k. So it is little odd that I have now so less
 
My review of VIDEOBB:

Pros:
- nice layout
- fast upload speeds and really fast conversion - 1 h 30 min file converted in less than 10 min
- they pay. Payment has been send one one day after request.
- big limits for free users
- mass embeds export option
- many upload options / ftp / web / remote
- nice statistics
- referral options is working


Cons:
- video quallity is little bad
- if there is few uploaders on a site and there is many files on videobb counting of your files is getting lower, so you get less money

I have account for over 8 days over 100 k views for files - but only 30287 has been counted to rewards program.

Rate system is not perfect. Could be more for uploaders. 10 k streams for $$$ is good option but counting one file per ip per 24 hours is a lose for uploaders.
They got money from ads and from premiums and by counting like that they save a lot of money. If they will change a bit rewards system and will raise up little video quallity they would be great alternative for MV.

I know that I don`t have to use them, those are their rules but this is my opinion.

lib3rty1: The rules are fine. We need to be able to make some money and cover our overheads to say the least. If you have posted a 1 hour 30 min. file it would mean that:

The free user viewed the video "twice" in order to get "past" the block. We allow for 72 min. of viewing with a wait time of 60 minutes - not 24 hours like on some hosts. Hence your stats would count 1 "proper" watch but 2 views in your video manager. Test it out and you'll see what I mean.

You forgot to mention:
Only video site paying out in Alertpay, Paypal and Webmoney.

It has never been easier to earn via a videohosting site! I'll leave the MV comment out of place as our video quality is on par with theirs and we convert twice as fast as they do.

I know what you mean by that.

I am not a big fan of MV but will see how fast will be your conversion speeds if you will have simillar traffic to them.

I will use you more and will test you more.
 
Sounds good to me :)

Our conversion speed should stay on par with what you're seeing now. We put time, soul and mind into this project, so there should be "minimum" of bugs. Do let me know if you see any obvious bugs.
 
Sorry Dave, but i have to wonder how you work out your cheating system..? Because i have a video that has had over 2322 hits,(In 18hrs) (Shows on "my Videos" page views ) after uploading it yesterday and my statistics are only showing 7.

I am very disapointed, I have not tried to cheat with videoBB & i have a high traffic myspace with close to 200,000 friends (Legit people who wanted to befriend me) Now unless i have a very obsessed Jamie Foxx fan lol, i find it hard to believe that out of 2322 hits, that only 7 are Unique?
 
AussieK: I won't tell you how you work out our anti-fraud system as that will just leave us with a lot of viets using their little VPS + a script.

I will tell you to go test out our system yourself:
1. Go upload a file - Any given video.
2. Go watch it. Do what normal humans do.
3. Go check your statistics for that video and see that video will count 1 view and stats will count 1.
4. Reload the video and watch it again.
5. Check your video stats that will now count 2 views and stats will count 1, still.
6. Give this video to a friend of yours and repeat.

Now that's for pasting the link only. If you have had 2322 hits it could also mean you pasted it as an embed code - Everytime someone loads this embed code we count it as "1". Only 7 watched your video. We don't pay for people just to load an embed code :)

I'd suggest that you just put a link up and then see how many people will watch.

Is it right for us to count how many people have loaded the embed code? No.
Is this something we can fix? I hope so.
