I'm not sure sorry. Is it really causing such a high load?? Its only rewriting some urls etc... I'm using it and notice no difference in load times.

yes its causing very high load on server :s ... even i have disabled link backs pings everything except the url rewriter ... and for generating site map .. i reduced it from 20000 to 1000 .. but still same thing :s

Mmmm this is making me think twice about using it.. But still I see no issues yet myself. Also many other sites using it with no problems.

Quite simply... you can't...
Huh! Why he can't :s

Just some simple htaccess rules

I have done so with my website for forum few days ago

I converted the forum links so that they could be accessible by the links indexed by google too (.htaccess rule)

ATM, my server is having some issues so i cant tell the code

I had worked out till : forums , members page and threads

Edit: I too was having some problems by using vbseo

Sure if your comfortable editing htaccess and making rewrite rules.. but you can't just remove vbseo and expect the links to stay the same... Maybe you can show him how LOL...

softt2050 please guide me how to edit the htaccess file so that everything remains the same and i should delete vbseo .. and i cant send u pm your inbox is full

problem is not solved ... if i uninstall vbseo then all links will become useless ... so no one will be redirected to the specified link ... i want the links to remain the same ... friendly urls

1) You cannot "GET" friendly urls without vBSEO or rewriting links yourself
2) Links will not become useless, if you use put right redirecting (from old new new url format)

Get it now?
