There was a search of their servers in France by the ACE, however, according to their twitter, they are not dead and are trying to negotiate with the rights holders.

Any alternative with the same options like Uptobox? 1Fichier doesn't allow downloads for free nor remote files. All other hostings are so expensive by comparison!
