Hi guys.

I would like to have a filehost as back up for my files and i would like your suggestions.

I am thinking to use uploaded or rapidshare. I am using another filehost for uploading and posting in forums, but i would also like another filehost as back up in case i want to download my files and upload them to another filehost if i need to change filehost for some reason.

I was thinking these 2 filehosts because they offer unlimited space and store files for ever.

My files are not in danger for dmca deletion.

In which of the 2 filehosts would you buy premium account to use it as back up filehost?

I am thinking to use uploaded because as a premium user i can also download material since uploaded is very popular in forums. Rapidshare links dont exist anywhere now.

uploaded.net is not backup service. They delete files after 180 days of inactivity. See
this message from their support representative.

I have files in my RS account that weren't downloaded in the last 3 years as I never posted the links.

if u use it only for backups its really difficult that it crashes loosing all datas. I think thats more easy for a filehost to close than an hard drive to get damaged

I wish that were true. I used a Samsung F4 2 TB as a backup drive. Over the course of 14 months, I probably only turned it on about 8 times...I had it in an external enclosure. The 9th time, that I turned it on, the computer wasn't able to detect it. Apparently, the head was broken and was no longer able to access the data. I had about 1.5 TB of data on that drive and I lost it all.
