It's not twitters responsibility, its the posters responsibility.Twitter, like any other site, removes certain content/users who break their TOS PER REQUEST. They don't have staff that reads millions of tweets a days

If it's against the religion, why are you using it then? If you don't use it, how do you know it's against religion? If it eats your time, how about you don't use it then? Why trying to censor entire country from using it? That is just a wrong reason.

You lots are missing the point, you should question your so called democratic government that why did they ban it, the whole world can access it, its your right to access it too, it doesn't matter if you like it or not. The point is you're living in a democratic country and yet its not in your hands to choose. What if they ban wJunction or pornsites next which you love.

KARACHI: Social networking website Twitter has been restricted in Pakistan, Dawn News reported on Sunday.

According to the ministry of information technology, the website was banned due to blasphemous and inflammatory content. Calls for particiaption in inflammatory contests were being made on Twitter and it was due to this that such a step was taken.

Twitter is very popular in Pakistan and is also used by many prominent politicians and law-makers.
